Olympus CB-USB8 cable: Stylus, SZ, TG and SP models

The CB-USB8 is the Olympus USB cable that Olympus Australia lists for 42 compacts, including the XZ-1 and XZ-2, the SZ-10 to SZ-31MR, the TG-1 to TG-4 and the SP-620UZ to SP-820UZ.

Olympus Australia's own CB-USB8 page tells buyers to see the compatibility table for the cable that suits them.

What nobody states

• Olympus does not state a pin count. Retailers say 12-pin and the community pinout site pinouts.ru describes a 12-pin multi connector on some Olympus cameras; neither is a maker document.
• The Olympus Australia table puts the SZ-15 on CB-USB7 even though neighbouring SZ models use CB-USB8.
