About Digicam Atlas
Digicam Atlas is a reference for digital compact cameras from the 2000s and early 2010s, the point-and-shoots now often called digicams. Each page answers the questions people ask before buying one: is it a CCD camera, what is it called in other countries, which battery and memory card it needs, and what its photos look like.
How we make these pages
- Specifications come from the manufacturer's own published pages (for Canon, the Canon Camera Museum). Each page links its sources. When a source doesn't state something, we write "Not confirmed" instead of guessing.
- Sample photos are real photos taken with each camera, published on Wikimedia Commons under free licences. We credit the photographer and licence under every photo and link to the original.
- Writing: drafts are prepared with AI assistance from the sourced facts, then checked by a person before publishing.
- Prices: used prices change daily, so we link to recent sold listings instead of printing a number that would go stale.
