Olympus CB-USB5 and CB-USB6 cables: which Stylus and mju cameras use them

The CB-USB5 and CB-USB6 are Olympus USB cables for compacts with the Multi-connector. Olympus Japan's 2005 table lists the CB-USB5 for cameras such as the Stylus 500 and C-7070; Olympus Australia's table lists the CB-USB6 for most of the same cameras and many later ones.

The mju 1030 SW box lists a USB cable and an AV cable without codes; the CB-USB6 for it comes from the Olympus Australia compatibility table.

Olympus Australia describes the CB-USB6 as a replacement for the USB cable shipped with specific Olympus cameras.

What nobody states

• Olympus never states a pin count. Retailers call the plug 12-pin; we treat that as unconfirmed.
• Third-party sellers market one cable as CB-USB5/6/8. Olympus lists CB-USB6 and CB-USB8 as different codes for different models, so check your model before buying.
